Composed of waste wood materials and compressed to form compacted logs or briquettes, heat logs are a great way to achieve long lasting heat from your appliance, particularly on the really cold wintery days. They generally last longer when compared to a kiln dried log, but this will depend on the quality and composition. Typically, a normal pallet of heat logs will contain approximately 50% more energy compared to a larger pallet of kiln dried wood. This is largely due to the density and composition, as well as an incredibly low moisture content, allowing you to achieve higher temperatures without needing to use more fuel.
